Move a Joomla Website :

1. First download and install JoomlaCloner from JoomlaPlug.
2. Select JoomlaCloner from the components section of the Joomla Admin Page.
3. Click Generate Backup
4. Add DROP SYNTAX
5. Go to File Options, enter filename and select folders to exclude.
6. Click Continue and wait
7. Click Clone
8. Enter FTP account details and destination directory (usually httpdocs - ensure 777 permissions set with host)
9. Check incremental transfer and click Continue, wait.
10. Click "Click here to Continue" (best in new window)
11. Enter install directory (usually D:/inetpub/vhosts/YOURDOMAIN/httpdocs - Note /)
12. Enter site url
13. Enter database details, you will need to setup the database with your host. For Plesk:
    1. Click databases, add new database
    2. Enter database name and select MySQL
    3. Add new database user
14. Select Install Files Locally.
15. Click Start Install
16. Click to continue with database import.
17. when done click to continue takes you to the new site.

Problems with php configuration:

If the url redirects to the installation path:

1. Go to host control panel, select file manager and go to httpdocs or equivalent directory.
2. If configuration.php is 0 bytes delete it.
3. go back to install path (http://www.YOURDOMAIN/Joomla.Cloner.php) and reinstsall.
4. All should be well :-)
